Forbidden

Forbidden was the fruit
That Eve was tempted by
knowing that she offered
Adam to take a bite

Forbidden was the night
when the sky was starless
But the smoke blocked the light
thus rendered the darkness

Forbidden were the vast
bleak and desolate grasslands
But its okay, for us humans
needed the wood for places fun

Forbidden it was to chop
’em trees on so large
We didn’t sow for each we cut
It’s okay, we didn’t have the heart

Forbidden was the melting snow
It was those animals’ home
We needed the heat causing gas
It’s okay, we couldn’t walk the mile

What a cat and mouse
game this is
We aim for the distance
where there’s a forbidden dish

But will we spare a glance
at the meal in our hands?
