(To Mom and Dad)

2019 (Me and Mom)

Published on 9th May, 2020:

Mothers. They are truly something special, aren’t they? They say God could not be everywhere so he created mothers. My mom is that and more. She’s the light I look to when things are dark. She’s the solid foundation to my impulsiveness, the pillar of strength and support that I know will never fail me no matter how dire the circumstances. We have countless memories to cherish. She has a wicked sense of humour and an infectious smile. She scolds me everyday (and according to my brother always takes ‘my side.’ Her laughter is contagious and precious. My rock, my best friend, she’s it all.

Yeah, so my room is messy and maybe I put dirty clothes into the washed ones. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ She knows all and sees all. Sometimes she can read my mind too!! But I love our little chats over cups of tea, our weird, wacky play dates, our court sessions (we actually have those to decide who’s at fault- my brother or I?) and our lovely outings. Mom tells me she and dad used to hide books when I was little before I would wake up because I made them read the same ones everyday.๐Ÿ˜‚ I have done some not-so-praiseworthy things in life but they stood by me through it all! Love you mom!

Words don’t do my mom justice, so I will stop right here.

Happy Mother’s Day!!โค

To Dad:

He never looks for praises

He’s never the one to boast

Seldom does he voice his wants

So he can work for his loved ones most

The times can be good or bad

One may need an unwavering stand

And so there he is:

When in need of a true friend

When in need of a sturdy hand

He’s there waiting patiently

The man we call our Dad!

Happy Father’s Day!!โค
